USING the CRISIS COMPILATIONS in the CLASSROOM.

Each of the ten compilations in CRISIS presents brief selections from primary resources to provide an overview of that point in the prerevolutionary period.

The first page of each compilation presents a table of contents, a timeline, and brief explanatory material.

It is recommended that the material in each compilation be divided among students individually or in groups, and not assigned to students in their entirety.

If you choose to use a portion of the compilations (PDF files), we recommend:

Two compilations: 1765*       1775
Three compilations: 1765     1773 1775
Four compilations: 1765 1767*   1773 1775
Five compilations: 1765 1767* 1770 1773 1775
*the first of the two compilations for that year.
